Washougal seniors Alyssa Blankenship and RaeAnn Allen are each staying in Washington to play college basketball, coach Brian Oberg said Thursday.

Blankenship will play at Walla Walla University. Allen will play for the University of Puget Sound.

Blankenship ended her high school career as Washougal’s second-leading scorer with 1,241 points. She was the Class 2A Greater St. Helens League MVP and a member of the 2A All-State team.

Allen was named to the first-team 2A GSHL all-league squad the past two years. She and Blankenship led Washougal to fourth place at the 2A state tournament earlier this month, the highest finish in school history.

In other local signing news, two-time 3A GSHL MVP Evi Wilson has committed to play volleyball at Montana State. The Columbia River senior had verbally committed to Eastern Washington as a junior.

Wilson’s twin sister, Esti, will play volleyball for Southern Idaho, which won its 11th National Junior College Athletic Association title this season.

Mountain View senior Emilly Moore will play basketball at Multnomah University.
