The Clark College baseball team went 1-3 against Bellevue in a weekend series.
The Penguins split at Bellevue on Friday, losing 10-9 and then winning 7-3.
On Saturday at Kindsfather Field, Clark dropped both games 7-1 and 7-2.
A six-run Bellevue fifth inning broke a 1-1 tie in Saturday’s first game. Clark’s Marco Murillo and Parker Woodley each had two hits.
Three Bellevue pitchers combined to hold Clark to three hits in the second game.
On Friday, Clark lost the opener as Bellevue scored the winning run in the bottom of the ninth.
Brandon Zimmerman was 3 for 5 with a double and two RBI, and Battle Ground grad Ian Humphrey was 3 for 4 with a double and RBI for Clark.
Chase Vanek was the winning pitcher in the second game for Clark. He struck out nine in six innings.
Clark (2-7) is next scheduled to play Lane at Western Oregon University in Monmouth, Ore., on Tuesday.
