Three boating safety classes set for March 26

Registration is open for a trio of boating safety classes on March 26 in Vancouver.

A basic boating safety class will be offered by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, U.S. Power Squadron and Clark County Marine Patrol from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. at the Clark County Public Works Maintenance and Operations Conference Center, 4700 N.E. 78th St. Room B-1.

The class will cost $10 per person. The class is designed to prepare boaters to earn their Washington or Oregon boater safety card.

A class about VHF marine radio will be offered from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the same location. It too will cost $10 per boater.

A class about reading nautical charts is scheduled from 1 to 5 p.m. and also will costs $10.
