MOSES LAKE — The Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission will take public comments on proposed changes to state deer and elk hunting rules here on Friday and Saturday.

The nine-member citizen commission will meet at Moses Lake Civic Center, 401 S. Balsam St. The meeting begins at 8 a.m. both days.

Most of the proposals address changes in special permit levels. However, at the commission’s request, proposals related to cougar-hunting seasons and to the use of bait when deer and elk hunting also are on the agenda.

The proposed changes are available online at http://wdfw.wa.gov/hunting/regulations/seasonsetting.

At 9:15 a.m. Friday, a presentation by Cindy Le Fleur, Southwest Washington regional fish program manager, and Patrick Frazier, policy coordinator, is scheduled on actions taken in the lower Columbia River to implement hatchery and fishery reforms.

A complete agenda is online at http://wdfw.wa.gov/commission.
