Ever since the lion brought in the month of March, he has been roaring nearly every day bringing rain, wind, hail and thunder. Not to mention occasional dumps of heavy snow in the Cascades and damaging winds along the coast.
Saturday was no different with heavy downpours and hail that covered the ground in some areas. Lightning was seen and thunder heard as well. Let’s see, did I leave anything out? Oh yeah, it was quite chilly with a high of 47 degrees, 10 degrees below average and the second day this month with a high in the 40s.
Our average mean temperature so far this month is still a bit above average. Rainfall approached 3 inches for the month at 4 p.m. Saturday, about 1 1/2 inches above average.
Today, another vigorous storm moves inland and brings high winds to the coast and blustery winds locally. A wind advisory was issued late Saturday for today. A high-wind warning was flying along the ocean beaches.
