Two men were taken to a hospital Sunday night after being hurt during a fight outside of a bar in downtown Vancouver, according to the Vancouver Police Department.

Officers were dispatched at about 10 p.m. to Boomers Sports Bar & Grill, 611 Main St. after reports that a fight involving multiple people and some dogs had broken out, according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian.

The incident started when a 32-year-old man and his friends, who had been drinking inside the bar, got into a physical altercation with a 27-year-old transient man outside of the establishment, Vancouver police spokeswoman Kim Kapp said. The 32-year-old sustained a stab wound and a dog bite, Kapp said. The 27-year-old also was hurt during the fight, she added.

Their injuries were not life-threatening, she said.

Both were transported to a local hospital, Kapp said. She said both men were uncooperative with authorities who were investigating the fight. Police took an informational report and also referred the case to the city attorney for review.
