CAMAS — A documentary, “Paper Tigers,” about teaching methods for students dealing with trauma will screen at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Liberty Theatre, 315 N.E. Fourth Ave., Camas. The event is free.
The film follows students at Lincoln High School, an alternative high school specializes in educating traumatized youth in Walla Walla, over the course of a year while teachers try approaching discipline with understanding and treatment instead of judgment and suspension. The documentary includes diary camera footage in showing how one caring adult can help break the cycle of adversity in a young person’s life.
