Nighttime drivers take note: Lanes in both directions of Interstate 205 between state Highway 500 and Mill Plain Boulevard may be closed for overhead sign installations early next week.
Nighttime drivers should plan for possible delays on Monday through Wednesday morning.
Two lanes of southbound I-205 may be closed from 10 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday with periodic rolling slowdowns in the open lane.
On Tuesday at 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Wednesday, one lane of I-205 may be closed with intermittent rolling slowdowns in the open lanes.
Delays could be as long as 15 minutes during rolling slowdowns. The work being done is part of the larger I-205 Mill Plain to N.E. 18th Street Interchange project. The project will reduce congestion and improve safety. It should be completed later this year.
