Awards to honor local educational champions

Friends of Educational Opportunities for Children and Families is requesting nominations to recognize champions for excellence in early childhood education in Southwest Washington.

The nonprofit organization’s fifth annual Early Learning Champions Award Luncheon will recognize seven champions for their individual and corporate commitment and leadership on early childhood education for children birth to age 5 within Clark County, Pacific County and the Woodland School District portion of Cowlitz County.

The seven awards are Community Early Learning Champion, Community Early Learning Staff Person of the Year, Community Early Learning Volunteer of the Year, Community Partner, Community Outstanding New Professional, EOCF Business Partner and EOCF Alan Ham Leadership. The award recipients will be recognized at the Friends of EOCF’s Fifth Annual Early Learning Champions Awards Luncheon from noon to 1:30 p.m. May 11 at Club Green Meadows, 7703 N.E. 72nd Ave. Luncheon tickets are $20. To purchase tickets online visit www.eocfwa.org.
