Hazel Dell — Carter Dojan, a 17-year-old senior at Skyview High School, is giving back to St. John Lutheran church as part of his Eagle Scout project. Dojan has been in Boy Scouts for seven years and is also very involved with the youth group at St John. For his project, Dojan wants to create a storage place underneath a stairway in the sanctuary to store sanctuary equipment, props and youth group supplies. Dojan estimates his project will take about two Saturdays to complete. He has been raising funds for the project through other members of St. John, and is already up to $600. Dojan hopes to raise the additional $200 needed to complete the project soon. “I want to reach the rank of Eagle Scout because it’s been my goal since fifth grade,” said Dojan. “It’s a test of all of the skills that I’ve learned so far in my scout career.” To find out more or to assist with Dojan’s project email info@stjohnLC.com or call 360-573-1461.
