Students entering kindergarten next school year are invited to the first of three Kindy Cub Nights 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the La Center School District cafeteria, 700 E. Fourth St., La Center. Students can meet kindergarten teachers, work on activities to help prepare for school, strengthen fine and major motor skills and learn alphabet basics. There also will be a dinner of pizza and milk.
Parents will learn about teaching their children self-management and social skills.

The other Kindy Cub Nights will be April 14 and May 12 at the same time and location and will cover different topics. Kindergarten registration will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 18 to 29 at La Center Elementary School, 700 E. Fourth St., La Center.
