Skyview Knowledge Bowl team outsmarts competition, qualifies for state

Salmon Creek — Skyview High School’s varsity team finished second at the Knowledge Bowl regional tournament in Longview on Feb. 22. This result was strong enough to qualify for the Washington State Knowledge Bowl championship in Arlington later this month. The team of Peter Brown, Utsav Kapoor, Austin Bryant, Richard Lu, David Tommasini and Alex Wen have been preparing since September to make it to the Washington State Knowledge Bowl, and coach Bob Brands said he is proud of the hard work everyone put in. “This was a team effort by everyone who has had a hand in the education of our students,” Brands said.
