Detectives are asking for the public’s help with finding a 14-year-old Vancouver girl who has been seen in the company of a 43-year-old sex offender.

Danielle “Danny” Hone left her Salmon Creek-area home on Aug. 10, 2015, and has not returned since, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Danielle was seen in the company of registered sex offender William Joseph Anderson, who also goes by Joseph Anderson, a 43-year-old transient who frequents the area of Southeast 122nd Avenue and Division Street in Portland, said Clark County Sheriff’s Office Detective Scott Kirgiss. Anderson drives a gold Dodge Ram double cab pickup, police said.

Danielle’s family has been searching for her, and Kirgiss said that the search had its first break when Danielle was picked up by Portland police at the end of January. When employees with the Department of Social and Health Services arrived to pick her up from the juvenile detention center, Danielle fled, Kirgiss said.

Detectives are concerned that sex trafficking may be involved, Kirgiss said. When she was picked up by police, Kirgiss said, Danielle was in the company of Anderson, and they both said that they were living together.

Kirgiss hopes to develop more leads, so asks that anyone who has information on the case to call him at 360-397-2028 or send him an email at Scott.Kirgiss@Clark.Wa.Gov.
