A man found dead at the Clark County Jail over the weekend hanged himself, an investigation by the Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office found.

The office identified the man as Daniel J. Fisher, 33, of Vancouver.

Corrections officers found Fisher alone in his cell around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office. He was unconscious and not responsive, and officers began CPR and summoned an ambulance. The Vancouver Fire Department also responded, the sheriff’s office said, and Fisher was declared dead at the scene.

At the time of his death, Fisher was in jail for suspicion of a Department of Corrections warrant and failure to transfer a motor vehicle title within 45 days.
