Vancouver – Drivers going to the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site or other downtown Vancouver locations on Monday for the fireworks display should consider alternate routes to avoid ramp closures on Interstate 5 and state Highway 14.
The Washington State Department of Transportation and the Washington State Patrol will close ramps near Fort Vancouver to ease traffic and give pedestrians safe access to the site.
The closures are as follows:
• The I-5 north offramp to Mill Plain Boulevard will close from 6 p.m. until midnight.
• The east and west Highway 14 offramps at Southeast Columbia Way will close from 9 p.m. until the end of the fireworks show.
Drivers are prohibited from using the shoulder of I-5 or any other state highway to watch the fireworks.
