Both directions of the Interstate 5 Bridge will lift and have nighttime closures next week, but the exact schedule depends on the progress of the tests.
Daytime electrical work, which will happen without lifts or traffic stops, has to be done before testing.
Numerous traffic stops and bridge lifts on the north and south spans of the bridge are planned for:
• 10 p.m. Sunday to 6 a.m. Monday.
• 10 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday.
• 10 p.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday.
During bridge lifts, the roadway and sidewalks will be closed. However, when one span is closed, the other span’s sidewalk will be open to bikes and pedestrians.
