Steelhead Challenge scheduled July 22-24

KALAMA — Entry is open for the lower Columbia chapter of the Coastal Conservation Association’s 2016 Summer Steelhead Challenge on July 22 to 24.

Entry costs $25 for CCA members, $55 for others and $35 for youth who are not CCA members.

The weigh-in station will be at the Port of Kalama Marina. Entry forms are at Bob’s Sporting Goods in Longview, Kalama Spirits Tobacco Bait and Tackle in Kalama and Harper’s Bait and Tackle, 267 Millard Ave., Woodland.

Registration closes on July 20.

Prizes will include $1,000 for the largest fish, $500 for second largest, $300 for third largest, $250 for largest fish caught by a woman, $250 for the largest fish by a youth, $100 for the smallest fish and $100 for a fish closest to average.
