RIDGEFIELD — The Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge’s River S Unit south of town will be temporarily closed on Wednesday and Thursday and again on Monday, June 27 through Thursday, June 30, for maintenance.

Additional closures may be announced the following week if needed.

The unit will be open to the public on Monday, June 20 and Tuesday, June 21, but there may be some small disturbances due to equipment being moved alongside the Auto Tour Route.

The Carty Unit north of town will stay open for wildlife viewing, hiking and photography.

For additional information contact the refuge office at 360-887-4106.
