C-Tran routes to detour Sunday for marathon

Sunday bus riders take note: C-Tran is detouring several routes this Sunday to give Vancouver USA Marathon participants a little room to run.

From 6 a.m. until 3 p.m., routes 3 A & B, 4, 25, 30, 32, 37, 71 Highway 99 and C-Van will be detoured away from the downtown area, though downtown Vancouver will be served by a shuttle on Broadway during marathon hours. Riders are strongly urged to delay travel during the marathon or look for alternatives.

Passengers needing service to Jantzen Beach/Delta Park will have to transfer at the VA Hospital to Route 4 Fourth Plain; Route 4 service to downtown won’t be available south of Fourth Plain during the marathon. Route 3 A & B won’t have bus access available south of Fourth Plain Boulevard and west of Fort Vancouver Way. C-Van will also have limited downtown access.

A complete list of detoured routes and a map of the route changes is available at http://bit.ly/1YvF02x.
