PROMOTIONS

Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer Jeff Steiger, son of Ray and Cathy Steiger of Brush Prairie, was recently promoted to his current rank of at a ceremony at Coast Guard Station Port Angeles. He will assume his new duties on the USCGC Active, working in law enforcement, marine safety, and search and rescue on the Pacific coast. Steiger is a 1997 graduate of Prairie High School, and received an associate degree from Clark College. He has served in the Coast Guard for 16 years. He and his wife, Julie, met when both were assigned to the icebreaker USCGC Polar Star in Antarctica.

BASIC TRAINING

Air Force Airman 1st Class Phillip L. Noorlander completed basic training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio. Noorlander is a 2010 graduate of Heritage High School. In 2014, he earned an associate degree from Clark College.
