IMAGINE TOMORROW COMPETITION
Students from 30 high schools in Washington and Idaho converged on Washington State University in Pullman last month to compete in the Imagine Tomorrow problem-solving competition. The students were challenged to seek new ways to support the transition to alternate energy sources.
These Clark County schools won top honors in three of the six categories: Vancouver iTech Preparatory, Most Innovative Award; Skyview High School, McKinstry Built Environment Challenge; La Center High School, Community Impact Award. The team members won $300 each, and the schools won $1,500, as prizes.

Gabriel Epstein, a student at Vancouver School of Arts and Academics, has won a National Merit Solvay Scholarship. Stephanie Jansson, from Union High School; Courtney Stump, from Columbia River High School; and Charity Young, from Union High School, have each won a National Merit $2500 Scholarship.
