OLYMPIA — Day-use will be free at Washington state parks on Saturday and June 11 in recognition of National Trails Day and National Get Outdoors Day.

On free days, visitors do not need to display a Discover Pass to park at state parks. A Discover Park costs $10 per day or $30 annually.

The parks agency is allowed to designate 12 free days annually. The remaining three days in 2016 will be Aug. 25, Sept. 24 and Nov. 11.

National Trails Day is June 4 and National Get Outdoors Day is June 11. Aug. 25 is the 100th birthday of the National Park Service, while Sept. 24 is National Public Lands Day.
