Landover-Sharmel — Artwork from Endeavour Elementary School students in Laura Jackson’s class is going international. The students drew portraits that were put up for display in Vancouver City Hall. As part of the annual Sister City Art Exchange, the students’ portraits are heading to a school in Joyo, Japan. Vancouver and Joyo have been sister cities since October 1995, and they regularly organize art exchanges, one-on-one exchanges and a six-month employee exchange between the two cities. Jill Brown, assistant to the mayor, visited the class to tell them about the program and show them art created by students in Joyo.
