Rotary hand outs college scholarships

Esther Short — The Vancouver Rotary Foundation, charitable arm of the Rotary Club of Vancouver, awarded $84,000 in college scholarships to 21 Southwest Washington high school and college students at the organization’s annual scholarship luncheon, held May 23. The money for scholarships came from individual donations, in addition to donations from members and funds raised at the Festival of Trees. In 43 years, the foundation has awarded more than $1.3 million in scholarships to local students.
