Salmon Creek — The third annual Salmon Creek Business Group bunco fundraiser brought in $1,000 for Hope, a dementia support group that provides events and continuing education on dementia. Hope recently launched two new initiatives: a therapy doll that looks and feels like a baby, and Dare to Dream, a service where special milestones in a couple’s life are recognized. “We normally operate on a shoestring budget, so this donation from the Salmon Creek Business Group will help us in so many ways,” Jan Malone, president of Hope, said in a release from the group. Malone also said the event led to the purchase of more therapy dolls.
