Don’t miss out on the aloha spirit during the annual Ho’ike and Hawaiian Festival from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today. Hula dancers, performers and Polynesian musicians will fill Esther Short Park, Columbia and West Eighth streets, with the sounds of the islands, while booths featuring vendors, arts and crafts, and food will give visitors tastes of Hawaii. The Battle Ground Rotary will host Tastes and Tunes, a celebration of food trucks, wineries, breweries and artists. Musicians will be performing throughout the day. Proceeds will benefit programs and groups that the Rotary Club supports. The event runs noon to 8 p.m. today at Alderbrook Park, 24414 N.E. Westerholm Road, Brush Prairie. St. Luke’s Episcopal Church will host a TGIF Piano Duet Festival throughout the month of August. The concert series kicks off with pianists Maria Garcia and Momoko Muramatsu, also known as the XX Digitus Duo, with performances that range from the classics to Radiohead. The concert begins at 6 p.m. Aug. 5 at the church, 426 E. Fourth Plain Blvd., Vancouver. Admission is free, donations accepted. 360-696-0181

The first of the Clark County Fair concerts will kick off at 7 p.m. Aug. 5 with heavy metal band Queensryche. The band has sold more than 20 million albums worldwide. Hosted at the Grandstand, the show is included as part of paid fair admission. Fair admission is $11.25, $9.25 for seniors, $8.25 for ages 7 to 12 and free for ages 6 and younger. Parking is $6. The rescheduled Camas Car Show will be from 4 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 6, with hundreds of classic, custom cars, hot rods and trucks along the streets of downtown Camas, Northeast Fourth Avenue. There will be live music, performances, food and a raffle. Awards will be given to Best in Show, Sponsors’ Picks and People’s Choice. Car registration begins at 1 p.m., with $15 for car entry. Guests who bring two cans of food will receive a free raffle ticket. The 16th annual Race for the Homeless features 5K and 10K runs, a 5K walk and a kids fun run. The event benefits Open House Ministries, hosted by New Heights Church. The city of Ridgefield will be hosting a community picnic for its First Saturday event in August. Participants are encouraged to bring a lunch, with lunches also available for purchase. Washougal Arts and Culture Alliance presents the Washougal Art Festival, a juried art show and sale featuring more than 20 local artists from the region. Mediums will range from recycled steel pieces to photography, oil paintings to books. Performing arts groups will take the stage from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The “Art Rocks” area will offer creative activities for children. A raffle and silent auction will also take place, including the painting on the event poster created by artist Liz Pike. Local musicians Amber Sweeney and Montgomery-Jones will preform a summer concert at 5 p.m. Aug. 14 at Moulton Falls Winery, 31101 N.E. Railroad Ave., Yacolt. The concert is to help raise funds for the Rocksolid Community Teen Center. There will also be a live auction for a winery tasting tour. Doors open at 4 p.m., with the concert at 5 p.m. Tickets are $10.
