C-Tran is offering patrons of the Clark County Fair free shuttles starting at noon each day of the event, which starts on Friday, Aug. 5. and runs through Sunday, Aug. 14.

Buses will run directly to the fairgrounds’ east entrance from six locations: Vancouver Mall Transit Center, 99th Street Transit Center, Fisher’s Landing Transit Center, La Center Park & Ride, Ridgefield Park & Ride, and Battle Ground (at Fairgrounds Avenue, a little east of the Battle Ground Community Center).

Additionally, riders of the shuttle can get a coupon for $1 off fair admission at the gate.

Service will also include a free early shuttle to the fair’s annual opening day pancake breakfast on Friday. Buses will leave starting at 8 a.m. from Fisher’s Landing, Vancouver Mall and 99th Street transit centers, 8:30 a.m. from Battle Ground and La Center, and 8:40 a.m. from Ridgefield. The shuttles will continue operating until around 11 a.m.

Full shuttle schedules are available online at www.c-tran.com.

C-Tran is a sponsor of the Clark County Fair and will have staff at a bus booth throughout the event.

C-Tran gave free rides last summer, as well. It resulted in a 20 percent increase in ridership to the fair over previous years. The C-Tran Board of Directors voted to offer free shuttle service again in May.
