Vancouver – A Saturday evening vigil and walk along the Vancouver waterfront aims to bring attention to gun violence while remembering its victims. The program starts at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Marine Park, at Southeast Marine Park Way and Columbia Way.

Speakers include Vancouver Mayor Tim Leavitt; Tanisha Harris, coordinator for the Court Appointed Special Advocate program at YWCA Clark County; and Heidi Yewman, author of the book “Beyond the Bullet.”

After the talks, the group will walk along the Waterfront Renaissance Trail to the Ilchee statue, where lights will be distributed. Then they will walk back to the park. Attendees are asked to wear orange to show support for a future without gun violence.
