Salmon Creek — The eighth Rotary Club in Clark County is in place and will serve residents of Hazel Dell, Felida, Salmon Creek and Ridgefield. The Rotary Club of Three Creeks is still awaiting its charter from Rotary International, and until then, the club meets every other week at 5:30 p.m. Thursdays at Round Table Pizza, 13009 N.E. Highway 99, Vancouver. Once the charter is in place, the Three Creeks Rotary will meet weekly and find a permanent home for its meetings. To be eligible to charter, the new club needs a minimum of 20 charter members, and it currently has 16, according to a release from the club. The new Rotary will be led by Susanne Cox, who is the president nominee, a 10-year Rotary veteran and past president of the Rotary Club of Vancouver, and Nelson Holmberg, who is president-elect nominee, 2014-15 Rookie Rotarian of the Year in the downtown Vancouver club and was in the Woodland club for four years. The next meeting is Thursday. More information can be found at rotaryofthreecreeks.weebly.com
