Camas’ free Concerts in the Park series kicks off today with a performance by Junebugs, a Portland-based folksy Americana band that originally hails from Vancouver, B.C.

The concert will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Crown Park, 15th Avenue and Everett Street. No park concessions will be available, but picnics are always welcome.

“The first concert of the season is a great event to kick off the Camas Days Weekend,” Krista Bashaw, special events coordinator for the city, said in a release.

The other performers in the Concerts in the Park series are: Bayou Boogie and Rock on July 28, Ty Curtis Band on Aug. 4 and Ben Rice on Aug. 11.
