Health Worker Report

The Health Systems Quality Assurance Division of the state Department of Health recently took disciplinary actions or has withdrawn charges against these Clark County health care providers.

In January, the secretary of health suspended the certified nursing assistant credential of Russ T. Wilson for at least five years. In 2015 Wilson was convicted of third-degree assault – domestic violence.

In January, the Mental Health Counselor Program suspended the mental health counselor credential of Tess E. Reese for at least one year. Reese’s Arizona counselor license was suspended for at least five years in connection with billing and progress note issues.

In January, the secretary of health indefinitely suspended the registered nursing assistant credential of Aaron C. Johnston, who appeared to be diverting narcotics from residents of a senior living facility where he worked.

In February, the Pharmacy Commission indefinitely suspended the pharmacist credential of Merlin L. Fish for not paying a $1,000 fine and not completing course work as required by a 2014 stipulation.

In February, the Nursing Assistant Program charged registered nursing assistant Jessica Maria Ashley with unprofessional conduct and immediately suspended her credential. The state Department of Social and Health Services found that Ashley physically and mentally abused a vulnerable adult and will not allow her to be employed in caring for or having unsupervised access to vulnerable adults.
