A fire damaged a garage Wednesday near Battle Ground Lake, but the flames did not spread to the attached house, Clark County Fire District 3 Chief Steve Wrightson said.

Firefighters were called to 15510 N.E. 244th St. at around 8:10 p.m. There, they found a fire in the attached garage.

Firefighters cut open the garage’s metal door, Wrightson said, and they were able to knock back the blaze.

No one was hurt, he said.

The Clark County Fire Marshal’s Office was investigating the cause of the fire. Damage estimates were unavailable.
