Salmon Creek — Community Home Health & Hospice formed a partnership with We Honor Veterans in 2011, and the nonprofit based in Washington and Oregon recently took in its 500th veteran. Gerald Kolb was drafted into the Army at 24 and drove Vehicle Track Retriever and truck in Germany. After returning home, he completed his electrician apprenticeship and worked as an electrician for more than 30 years, according to a release from the organization.
