Esther Short — Furry Friends volunteers spent some time at the Recycled Arts Festival, where they had kittens up for adoption and offered discounted Avid FriendChip ID microchips, which help locate a lost animal. A volunteer licensed veterinary technician at the booth put chips in nine cats and dogs during the festival. Furry Friends also adopted out one cat, Cassie. Furry Friends is a nonprofit, all volunteer, no-kill, cat adoption organization based in Vancouver. For more information, go to www.furryfriendswa.org.
