Club makes blankets for victims of domestic abuse

Shumway — The Clark County Newcomers Club quilting group donated blankets they made to the YWCA of Clark County last month. The blankets will go to women and family members who are victims of domestic abuse and are members of the YWCA’s SafeChoice Domestic Violence Program. The Clark County Newcomers Club, which has more than 500 members, is a group that helps new and longtime Clark County residents get to know their community, and aims to provide a network for fostering friendships while supporting local charities and service endeavors.
