Esther Short — Rod Cook is the newest member of the Northwest Association for Blind Athletes’ board of directors, the nonprofit announced last month. The association works with individuals who are blind and visually impaired to provide them opportunities to participate in sports and physical activities. Cook was the owner of Alpine Auto Body for more than 35 years before selling the business in 2014 and retiring. “(The) Northwest Association for Blind Athletes is an innovative organization that is changing lives in our community, and I am excited to be a part of it,” Cook said in a release from the organization.
