On Friday night, both spans of the Interstate 5 Bridge will be intermittently lifted for cable greasing.
The chore is part of annual bridge maintenance of the six miles of cable used on the bridge.
The lifts will last from 20 to 25 minutes, each occurring between 10 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday.
A second cable greasing may be necessary on Saturday night. If so it, will cause lifts from 10 p.m. to 8 the following morning.
