Boys basketball: Mark Morris 57, Ridgefield 54

Masen Baker hit a 3-pointer as time expired to lift the visiting Monarchs to victory in a back-and-forth contest.

Louden Wardius scored 17 points and Travis Gottsch 16 for the Spudders (6-11, 3-7), who led by four at halftime.

The lead changed several times down the stretch.

“Every time we got ahead they had the answer,” Ridgefield coach Nick Veys said, noting that the Monarchs made free throws down the stretch and finished 16 for 18 from the line.

Will Burghardt and Nick Rinck scored 17 points apiece for Mark Morris (15-3, 9-1).
