Boys basketball: Skyview 62, Mountain View 58

A five-point swing highlighted a fourth quarter rally for Skyview.

With the game tied and just under three minutes to play, KB Fesehazion was fouled on a breakaway layup that also drew a technical foul.

Skyview made three of four free throws and kept the ball. Skyler Martin was fouled on the ensuing possession and made two free throws, giving Skyview a five-point lead it wouldn’t relinquish.

Skyview made 10 of 14 free throws in the fourth quarter, during which the host Storm outscored Mountain View 18-9.

“It was a really closely contested ballgame,” Skyview coach Matt Gruhler said. “We just made a few more plays at the end.”

Mason Scheidel scored 22 points to lead Skyview, which improved to 6-9 and 4-3 in the 4A Greater St. Helens League. Jason Chaney added 11 points and nine rebounds.

Alex Bailey scored 16 points for Mountain View (8-8, 3-5).
