Girls basketball: Columbia River 51, R.A. Long 27

Emma Fisk scored 16 points to lead Columbia River to a non-league win at home.

Fisk, a 6-foot-4 junior, also had four blocks and seven rebounds. River outrebounded R.A. Long 37-22.

“The kids are going a good job of finding her in our offense so she can finish near the basket,” River coach Carl Click said of Fisk.

River outscored R.A. Long 11-4 in the second quarter to take a 23-14 lead into halftime. The Chieftains put the game out of reach by outscoring the Lumberbacks 15-4 in the fourth quarter.

Teaghan Cowles added 14 points and six steals for River (8-7).
