Jessica Flanagan scored 26 points, six rebounds, six stelas and three steals in a hard-fought victory for the Beavers.
“Jessica just didn’t want to lose,” Woodland coach Glen Flanagan said. “(Ridgefield) is a lot better than they were at the start of the year. They start five freshmen, and they are getting better. They got the jump on us early, and it was just a slow reeling-in job for us the rest of the way.”
Flanagan’s big night helped Woodland survive a big game from Ridgefield freshman guard Sarah Jenkins.
Jenkins led the Spudders with 18 points, seven steals and was 7-of-8 from the field.
Grace Adams had 11 points for Woodland, Amber Malik had eight rebounds.
Anna Murphy had 11 points, five rebounds and four assists in the loss for Ridgefield.
