Girls basketball: Columbia River 43, Kelso 36

Emma Fisk scored a career-high 14 points in Columbia River’s 43-36 victory Tuesday night over Kelso.

The win helps the Chieftains improve to 7-7 overall and 2-1 in league play.

Columbia River was dominant on the glass against Kelso with a 44-22 rebound advantage. They were led in that category by Kate Kraft with 12 and Katie Kolbe had 10 rebounds to go along with seven points.

Kelso made a run in the 4th quarter but Teaghan Cowles stopped the momentum with a steal and basket to help fend off the rally, according to head coach Carl Click.
