Girls basketball: Battle Ground 50, Union 42

Behind 13 points from Kylie Smith, the Battle Ground Tigers scored their second league win of the season Tuesday.

The Tigers built a seven-point lead in the first half and withstood a third quarter rally from the Titans to hold on.

Morgan Stradley chipped in with nine points and two other Tigers had seven points.

Courtney Cranston scored a game-high 14 points for Union in the loss.

Kili Anderson had a team-high seven rebounds for Union to go along with seven points.
