Boys basketball: Mountain View 53, Heritage 39

Darien Chase had 10 points and 12 rebounds in his first full game since missing more than two weeks with a hamstring injury.

Mountain View lost all four 4A Greater St. Helens League games it played without Chase, who is averaging 12 points and 10 rebounds per game.

Tuesday, the freshman energized the Thunder. His steal followed by a two-handed dunk with two seconds left in the first half gave the Mountain View a 37-19 lead.

Alex Bailey scored all 14 of his points in the first half as Mountain View improved to 8-7 overall and 3-4 in league.

Jander Cline scored 16 points to lead Heritage (2-12, 0-7).
