A timely layup off of a turnover helped the visiting Monarchs hold off the Eagles for the Class 2A Greater St. Helens League win.

Hudson’s Bay (5-10, 2-5) had the ball trailing by two points with about two minutes left in the game. But a contested transion layup off of a turnover extended the margin to four points and the Eagles were not able to close the gap from there.

Quadrese Teague scored 14 points and Quentin Raynor 10 to top a balanced scoring effort for Hudson’s Bay. Seven Bay players scored during a 22-point third quarter that had the Eagles within two points entering the final period.

For Mark Morris (12-3, 5-1), Nick Rinck scored 19 points and Garrett Berger 15.
