A look back and ahead at what’s happening in Clark College athletics:

MEN’S BASKETBALL

Notable: The Penguins (14-3) top the Northwest Athletic Conference’s South Division standings at 5-0.

Clark won both of its games during the past week. The Penguins defeated Portland College 75-62 at home Wednesday, led by Glenn Baral’s 14 points. Jeramy Warren had eight rebounds and seven points. The Penguins won 86-81 at Linn-Benton on Monday night. No other information was available about that game.

Next games: Chemeketa at Clark, 7:30 p.m. Wednesday; Umpqua at Clark, 4 p.m. Saturday.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

Notable: The Penguins (12-5) are tied for second place in the NWAC South standings at 4-1.

Clark won both of its games during the past week. The Penguins beat Portland College 74-58 at home Wednesday. Caylee Newsom led the Penguins with 23 points. Shantel Aleki had 11 rebounds and seven points. Clark won 80-60 on Monday night at Linn-Benton. No other information about that game was available.
