Esther Short — The Clark County Quilters raised $7,700 for the Children’s Justice Center at an auction on Dec. 10.

Some of the 500 members in the nonprofit sold their handmade quilts to raise money for the center, which promotes justice for child victims of criminal-level abuse.

The auction was organized by Janice Harding-Harris, program chairwoman, and Fred Boyd filled in as auctioneer after the original auctioneer couldn’t make it due to heavy rain.
