Battle Ground — The Fort Vancouver chapter of Daughters of the Pioneers of Washington hosted their annual Christmas party at a member’s house on Dec. 10.

The group collected non-perishable food, which was donated to the North County Community Food Bank. They also ate a Christmas ham lunch, posed for pictures around a decorated tree and sang Christmas songs accompanied by group member Pam Friesen on the piano.

The group is open to women 18 and older who are descendents of pioneers who established their residence in Washington state during or before 1870.

For more info about the group, call Sherry Lambert, president of the chapter, at 360-687-1428.
