Woodland’s offense went cold at the worst time.

The Beavers scored just three points in the fourth quarter to narrowly lose a 2A Greater St. Helens League game at home.

Woodland entered the final quarter with a 32-28 lead, but turnovers kept Woodland from putting the game away.

“They started scrambling around and trying to trap us,” Woodland coach Jason Buffum said. “We didn’t value the possession very well.”

Tanner Sixberry scored 15 points and Bryce Mulder added 12 for Woodland, which fell to 8-5 overall and 2-2 in league play.

“Our goal is just to be playing in the postseason,” Buffum said. “We’re going to get back to work and start focusing on Hockinson for Friday.”
