Two 18th Legislative District lawmakers will hold three town hall meetings on Saturday, just ahead of the start of the 2016 Legislature. The sessions will offer a chance to talk with state Sen. Ann Rivers, R-La Center, and state Rep. Brandon Vick, R-Felida.
The schedule:
• 9 to 10 a.m.: Ridgefield Fire Station, 911 N. 65th Ave., Ridgefield.
• Noon to 1 p.m.: Battle Ground City Hall, council chamber, 109 S.W. First St., Battle Ground.
• 3 to 4 p.m.: Camas Public Library, second-floor meeting room, 625 N.E. Fourth Ave., Camas.
The legislative session begins Monday in Olympia.
“This will be a short 60-day session, so hearing from the folks we represent will be critical to setting our legislative agenda,” Rivers said in a news release. “I’ve hosted dozens of these town halls over the years, and they have truly become an invaluable tool for me.”
“This session promises to bring forward a number of important debates, including issues relating to K-12 education funding, wildfire planning and recovery, as well as addressing the latest issues with our justice system at the state Department of Corrections,” Vick said.
